Goldfrapp Announce US Tour, Caravan Girl EP

Following a successful UK summer festival tour, Goldfrapp brings their live show back to North America with a tour kicking off September 12, 2008 at the venerable Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Goldfrapp will also release the "Caravan Girl" Digital EP on Mute July 22, 2008. The EP features the "Caravan Girl" album cut, a live choral version, a live acoustic version of "Monster Love" and an Animal Collective Remix of the song "Little Bird."

In addition, Goldfrapp will release an iTunes Originals Session on August 12, 2008. Recorded at NYC's Electric Lady Studios, the session includes newly recorded versions of longtime Goldfrapp favorites such as "Strict Machine," "Ooh La La," and "Paper Bag" and newly recorded versions of songs from "Seventh Tree" such as "Eat Yourself," Road To Somewhere" and "Little Bird." The session - which is available exclusively through iTunes - also includes selected album tracks from the full Goldfrapp catalog as well as commentary and anecdotes from the band.

Goldfrapp are Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory. Their debut album "Felt Mountain" was released in 2000 to widespread acclaim and was shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize in 2001. Goldfrapp's second album "Black Cherry" followed in 2003 and marked a stylistic departure from its predecessor. In 2005, Goldfrapp returned with the critically-acclaimed and GRAMMY®-nominated album "Supernature." The bands latest album "Seventh Tree," released 2008, was certified Gold in the UK in its first week of release and has been called "a cinematic experience" by Rolling Stone and "resolutely dreamy...perfect pop" by Marie Claire.

Goldfrapp's tour of the states in April 2008 included an appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The band - who performed on the Late Show with Jay Leno and on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" in April 2008 - was the featured performance on NPR's World Café June 9th 2008. The session, produced by Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel), was recorded at the world-renowned Avatar Studios in NYC.

In June 2008 Good Morning America featured the video for "Seventh Tree's" second single; "Happiness" on their top-rated morning program. The video is now in rotation at VH1.
